Moon-base Ariadne

Moon-base Ariadne, including the connected ‘Biodome’, was the largest permanent habitations built on the moon (by humans). The base was built up over time between the 22nd and 25th centuries. The Biodome, a 500-meter enclosed pressurized biosphere, became operational in the late 25th century. At the close of the century, last-minute attempts were made to drastically increase the capacity of the facility. The base was largely cut off from Earth after the 1st Apocalypse in 2503. A sizable population persisted until 2543 when Sreelathan mercenaries occupied the base and carted everyone away to a future of slavery and experimentation. The moon-base was left abandoned until the middle 27th century when the Sreelathans began using the base to host a new research program.
